Pomene Bay Lodge Information

African safari lodge situated in one of the most picturesque spots in Mozambique. It is remote, with a very low local population assuring pristine and unspoilt conditions.

Pomene Lodge is 605km north of Maputo and 170km south of Vilanculos.

Access is also available by air transfer from Inhambane. This can be arranged with Barra Bookings in Johannesburg or at Barra Lodge at Inhambane.

Accommodation

10 Water Chalets grace the estuary. Sheltered from wind and sea this is the perfect getaway for those looking for a "back to nature" safari hoidays experience.

These rooms are all, en-suite with double bed and situated within the tidal zone in the estuary.

They are serviced daily but do however not have air-conditioniong. Pomene currently runs on generator power and the power supply is turned off in the evenings. Lights are available during the night from a reserve power supply.
