Getting into Botswana:
* By air - Most flights connect to via South Africa but there is currently only one direct flight into Maputo from Portugal. By air is our recommended means of getting around
* By road - Roads in Mozambique are average to poor across most of the country, the only truely good roads are the two that connect South Africa with Maputo and Zimbabwe to Beira.
Language:
Portuguese is the official language, although small amounts of English are spoken in the main tourist areas.
Health:
Malaria is found in all parts of Mozambique travel - Please be careful here and that those prophylaxis and spray that mozzi repellent.
The AIDS/ HIV infection rate is very high - please do not have unprotected sex.
